HTS office move to make way for future expansion plans

Hotel and Travel Solutions (HTS), a specialist in hotel accommodation, venue sourcing, and travel for businesses, has relocated to support business growth.

The business travel, meetings, and events industry has been significantly affected by Covid-19; all but essential travel came to a halt in 2020. As a result, HTS furloughed much of its team through 2020 and the first quarter of 2021 and sadly had to make fifty per cent of the team redundant.

Whereas many businesses have been considering existing office space situations and whether to downsize with more people working remotely, HTS firmly believe the need for office space is even more crucial as the business comes through the challenges faced by the pandemic. With the company almost back to pre-pandemic levels, and projected figures showing continued growth, the need for more office space became apparent. As a result, on 11th October, HTS moved from its Bromsgrove office to a brand-new space in Hadzor near Bromsgrove and Droitwich in Worcestershire.

As consumer confidence in travel is returning, so is travel for business. Therefore, accommodation, travel and meeting room enquiries are rising for the team at HTS.

To support returning confidence and business regrowth, HTS is using the Government's Kick Start scheme to employ four people within its reservations team and still recruiting. And HTS are proof that the Kick Start scheme is working as one will be appointed on a permanent contract from November after completing six months on the scheme. The team continues to grow with three further appointments outside of the Kick Start scheme in HTS reservations and finance teams.

Molly Knight is delighted to be joining the team on a permanent contract next month: “The Kick Start scheme has been a fantastic opportunity for me. It has allowed me to transfer my customer experience skills into an industry I knew very little about. I have learned so much in the last six months and I am excited to continue my career with HTS.”

Julie Shorrock, Managing Director of HTS, commented on the recent business developments: "There was so much uncertainty in the travel industry at the beginning of the pandemic. In addition to the Government’s Kick Start scheme, we have utilised Worcestershire County Council’s Here2Help Business and BEEP grants that have enabled HTS to successfully complete the office move and start our expansion plans.

"It's been a long journey back for us, yet after months of hard work for the team, I'm delighted to be in our lovely new office space. It's a fresh start for us all. I'm proud of our growing team of ambitious and committed hotel, travel, and conference professionals. Our plans are to embrace the future and we are all very excited. We have started welcoming our suppliers to the new office and it’s starting to feel like some form of normality has finally resumed.”

The new office address is Galton Way, Hadzor, Worcestershire, WR9 7ER.
